The Shipyard
I'm fortunate to be presently at a great location. I can see the ocean from my workbench:
Now, isnt' the 2" chop saw just adorable! It's one of my favorite tools.
I need a dust mask, light, and magnifiers. Here is my second setup:
Here is a closeup of my magnifier. I took a Keku Hifh Power LED headlamp, took off the lithium battery pack at the back and sewed the elastic strap together.
Then I got a telephone cable which has 4 wires and hardwired it to the battery pack. This way I could eliminate charging the batteries and just plug it in.
Then I hacked a
magnifier and taped it to the front of the headlamp. I use this constantly
and just love it!
Here is my chopper for thin planking strips. I modified it so that I could put a stop on the wood for long pieces. Very useful!
Here's an adjustable stand I made for building my ships:
You always have to make jigs. This is a simple one for twisting the thread around a dead eye.
